The story behind the images

In May of 2008 I was searching for a fun way to get my creative juices to flow first thing in the morning in a fun-and-kind-of-crazy direction.

At the time I was working nights as a graphic designer and illustrator for a local newspaper; fighting a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the Attleboro-area way.

The Illustration Friday (4/25/09) challenge is 'Theater.' The above is part of the Lunch Bag Art that I do for my kid's school lunch. You can see the Lunch Bag and Sandwich Bag Art on my flickr site.

We have 4 hens in our backyard. They get let out in the fenced-in 'lower yard' so they are not cooped up all day.

There are a few places in the fence that they have discovered that allow them to slip through and explore. Most of these escape routes have been closed off with chicken wire or a board.
